D2.3 Report on Distributed Ledger Solution

Deliverable D.2.3 reports on a Distributed Ledger Solution to assure integrity and traceability of the value chain data.

This DLT solution will be implemented as a microservice within AMORA. It is essential to have a reliable blueprint of a system to create a registry of the complete supply chain components (hardware, software, firmware) including any change and/or update to maintain and improve security issues. For this reason, this task will study different Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) to assure the integrity and traceability of the supply chain components as a kind of components inventory. The most notable features of DLTs are immutability, resistance to censorship, decentralized maintenance, and elimination of the need for a centralized trusted third party as it is based on distributing a set of records (ledger) among several entities (distributed). Real-time properties of the proposed solution for blueprint-registry will be analysed so that this property is characterized by end-users' functional applications. This task will study, design, implement, integrate, and test a fully decentralized and light Directed-Acyclic-Graph-System (DAG) which provides a mechanism to follow and detect the systems blueprint evolution in order to control every change in the supply chain blueprint.
